Join Hawaiʻi Foodbank for deCANstruction on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 7:30 to 11 a.m.
For the past 20 years, the American Institute of Architects Honolulu has hosted CANstruction, a creative community event featuring large structures built entirely from canned food to benefit Hawaiʻi Foodbank. During deCANstruction, volunteers will help carefully dismantle the displays, sort and box the donated food, and prepare it for transport.

This opportunity involves standing, bending, and lifting canned goods and boxes. Please wear casual, comfortable clothing and fully enclosed shoes. We also recommend bringing water.
