Mahalo for you volunteering for Hawaiʻi Foodbank’s Annual Food Drive. Complete this application to join us at Ala Moana Center on Saturday, August 29.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please be aware that every volunteer role this year will require substantial and meaningful interaction with the public. For instance in some roles this will involve providing information, in others giving directions, and in others encouraging monetary donations. If you will not feel comfortable communicating with Ala Moana visitors we kindly ask that you do not sign up for this event. In each role's description, one of three Public Interaction Levels indicating how much interaction will be required will be shown: HIGH; MEDIUM-HIGH; or LOW-MEDIUM.

The minimum age to volunteer is 16 years old, and no exceptions will be made. For the safety and well-being of our volunteers, we ask that anyone who is more than five months pregnant not participate in this activity. Volunteers must be able to stand and wave the full shift.

For safety, all volunteers must wear closed-toe, closed-heel shoes. Crocs, sandals, slippers, and other open-heel footwear are not permitted. Water and a limited selection of snacks will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own flask. We also recommend leaving large or heavy bags and backpacks at home, as secure storage will not be available during your volunteer shift.

VERY IMPORTANT: You will receive an email with detailed instructions the week of the event along with a map of the site. On August 29th, please check in at the Volunteer table near Ala Moana Center Stage 30 MINUTES before your scheduled shift. At check-in, you will receive a volunteer T-shirt, your assignment, and the location of your assignment. You will also be given a short briefing before being sent to your location.

To help ensure a smooth transition between volunteer shifts, please begin walking back to Center Stage 5 minutes before your shift ends so we can prepare for the next group of volunteers.
